Hull condition work between dockings.

The company maintains hull steelwork, surface preparation and protective fittings for vessels in service and during scheduled drydockings. Work is sequenced with class survey requirements and the owner's voyage plan. Crews mobilise to the yard, alongside or to repair bases abroad.

Surface preparation and blasting

Mechanical and abrasive surface preparation of hull plating ahead of coating. Delivered to the grade specified by the paint manufacturer and class.

  • Sandblasting to Sa 2 or Sa 2.5
  • Power tool cleaning to St 3
  • Edge grinding and weld seam treatment

Anodes and corrosion protection

Renewal of sacrificial anodes on the hull, sea chests and rudder. Inspection and recording for class.

Draft marks, freeboard and signage

Restoration of statutory markings and ship identity to legible condition.

Plate and propeller area work

Localised steel renewal around the waterline and stern, coordinated with surface preparation.
